Basic Hebrew Font for
Microsoft Windows 95/NT (English Version)
Installing the two Hebrew fonts:
wehad.ttf
Truetype font in the Helvetica/David style (proportional)
wehm.ttf
Truetype font in the Courier/Shalom Stick style (fixed space)
TO INSTALL:
- Download the two fonts
- Click on links above
- Choose "Save as"
- Save in some empty folder (directory)
- Install the fonts in Windows
- Click Start->Settings->Control Panel
- Click Fonts icon, click Install Font button.
- Find both fonts in the empty folder and select them (use SHIFT)
- Click Install them. they should now be in fonts list
- Click Close button
- You can now delete the two fonts that you downloaded.
- For Netscape
- In Netscape, at Options menu, choose Preferences..and choose
Fonts
- For Proportional Fonts choose Web Hebrew AD
- For Fixed Fonts choose Web Hebrew Monospace
- For Internet Explorer
- Under View->Internet Options, choose Font
- For Proportional Fonts choose Web Hebrew AD
- For Fixed Fonts choose Web Hebrew Monospace
- IE5 does not automatically load the
Web
Hebrew
fonts properly. To get around this bug, you must download
Microsoft's
Hebrew Support, select Web Hebrew fonts as default fonts (see the two
instructions
above) and for each page select View->Encoding->Western
These bilingual Web fonts have been tested with English MS-Windows for
use with Netscape or Internet Explorer. You can also use them to
configure
almost any standard English text and mail application just by selecting
the WebHebrew font. The following applications have been successfully
configured:
Netscape Mail, Windows Write or WordPad, Wordperfect for Windows 6.0a,
Word for Windows 6.0, PC Eudora, Trumpet Telnet.
